Apricot

Greek apricots are characterized by their golden colour, their special flavour and their fragrance. They are rich in vitamin A and contain vitamins C, B1, B2 and natural sugars. Jams, canned fruits, juices and fruit preparations are made from apricots.

The apricot harvest in Greece begins in June and lasts until July. The main variety used by CHB-VITOM is Golden Bebeco.

The main products deriving from the apricots are:

Golden Apricot puree: Produced from peeled, mashed, mature Greek apricots, mainly of Bebeco variety. It is stored in aseptic packaging, or aseptic tanks for bulk transportation (in isothermal tank truck).

Apricot puree concentrate: Produced from fresh, mature Greek apricots, which after being mashed is concentrated properly according to the required brix degree.

Canned Apricots : Produced from Greek apricots cut in halves and packaged in tins with syrup.

Apricot Pulp: Destoned pieces of apricot, Bebeco variety, in aseptic package. Their main use refers to jam industries.
