Plums are a fruit with a very sweet taste and a pleasant fragrance. They are rich in Vitamin C and contain Vitamin A, calcium, fibre and magnesium.
The main farming areas are Thessaly, the island of Skopelos, Central Greece, Macedonia and Thrace.
The main varieties that are grown are: Black Beauty, Black Star, Black Diamond, Friar, Stanley and Angelino. The harvest begins mid of June with the earliest varieties and lasts until mid of September.

Plum puree: Made from red-skinned varieties of plums and packed either in aseptic package in drum or in aseptic tanks for bulk transportation in isothermal tank truck.
